There is a petition over at change.org to keep this dog alive. I'd post a direct link but apparently that's not allowed here. It's in Spanish but that should not be a problem. They already have over 300,000 signatures.

Most Americans aren't paying attention to this. Many news articles have limited comments compared to comments in articles about Kardashians. I checked change.org and there are only a few petitions about ebola. They only have 9 to 21 signatures. While I don't think ebola is a reason to be fearful and paranoid, it's unsettling that most Americans are more interested in Kardashians.
