Disclosure: I have not read a single post in the thread

Falling back sucked. I loved having the dark in the morning. Loved it. And I loved having the daylight extend to 5:30 or 6:00.

Falling back seemed really dumb to me. This year especially because I'm examining everything I mean everything in my life. All assumptions.

What about the self serving and silly people who want to have later sunsets in the winter for a few rounds of golf? Or whatever....

First the Royals lose the World Series, then standard time arrives, and now the polar vortex is back again. We need disaster relief !! Yoda is living better on that crappy swamp planet with DST than we are right now.

Down with standard time ! Just say NO !!

Is this a thing now? Instead of calling it winter like we used to, its now the polar vortex? Are our seasons now spring, summer, fall, polar vortex?

Don't know what to tell ya Sunday, but it's 24 degrees outside, the normal is 50, lows have been in the teens and the forecast says ditto all the way to Thanksgiving. Does this not look like another repeat of last years Polar Vortex Pt 2....The Big Freeze ?

If we switched back to DST it might go away and warm up.

Huh? There are as many hours of darkness and light no matter what time you call it.

ETA: It's 2 degrees here at the moment. Going to get down to -11 tonight.

This thread makes me dream of summer when there'd still be light out now.

Another good reason for moving to Florida! I just looked at the sunrise and sunset times for the day for where we live and South Florida. Their days are about 37 minutes longer than ours right now. During the summer I am sure it swings the other way, but shorter days in summer down there can be a blessing.
