Well, maybe not!

"When one man sat down next to a second man in a St. Louis light rail car late Monday and asked him his opinion on the shooting of Michael Brown, it was not the beginning of a discussion.

It was the start of an assault, police said."

All this goes back to President Obama stirring the pot after Trayvon Martin. That was the beginning. Before that, there was no "conversation about race". Things improved gradually on their own. But that wasn't good enough for the Chicago crew.

How about "No"?

I hate the term "conversation" as is used these days as too many people want to have a conversation about something.
I really hate when I hear "The national conversation". The national conversation about what?

How about those wanting a "conversation" go hang out at Starbucks???

When I hear it, I always wonder what it is exactly that a 'national conversation' is supposed to accomplish. Most peoples' minds are pretty much already made up on both sides of whatever issue is involved, so having a 'dialog' is more than likely to quickly become just another heated argument. A good example would be some of the talking heads on MSM, and better yet, some of the threads here on C-D.

I live next door to black people. They were there when I moved in. Not sure what you wouldn't like about them. The fact that he's a mailman? Could go postal at any moment, ya know! The idea that they barbecue a lot in their backyard? Anti-pork people might have an issue with that,. I'm pretty sure I've smelled ribs. The idea that she was raised a military brat and then worked all her life in a civil job on the Army base? Hmm. Could mean she's a warmonger, I suppose. Best you stick to your values and don't let anyone else change your mind!
he probably can't afford to live in a nice multiracial neighborhood. since he is poor, he would rather live in a trailer park than the projects. to each his own, i guess.

Honey Boo Boo is 9, so she isn't making any babies and is too young to get married.

Further, she's probably doing pretty well financially, being a star of an award winning "reality" TV show on cable.

Many trailer parks, BTW, are peaceful places with a lot of senior citizens and disabled people living on fixed incomes.

Sure there was black on white crime and illness in the black culture before Obama, but he has made it worse. Instead of being a post racial president (whatever that was suppose to mean), he has been the most polarizing in my lifetime.
Between he and his AG, they have injected themselves into every racial incident and come out on the wrong side each time. To use a quote from his AG Holder, they are "looking out for their people".
To use a quote from Obama in the Gates incident, he has "acted stupidly".

The underclass blacks need to be taught to stop making babies in high school, and instead finish their education. They need to learn to marry and stay married.

The deterioration of the black underclass did not start on January 20, 2009. B. Hussein Obama didn't make things much better, though.
I guess this president is danged if he does and danged if doesn't. Don't know. Obama did get backlash for "taking Blacks to task" early in his presidency or during campaigning. I guess you didn't hear Jesse Jackson rip him a new one for that!

Y'all don't get around much on the internet.

JJ took him to task off camera, what he thought wouldn't be public.

What had JJ in such a tizzy ? Obama urging greater emphasis on fatherhood, advising parents to choose reading books over playing video games, and telling young students to stick with school.

I suppose if those are things people aren.t used to hearing, it can be construed as 'taken to task.'
