One of my old bosses used to refer to some guys as goons. It wasn't an insult.

White trash is used for one race only. The n-word is for one race only. There are certain slang words used for other ethnic groups. Thug is for anyone who fits the description no matter their race. It has been that way since the beginning of the word. Anyone who thinks cons have decided to isolate the word thug to only use against young blacks is giving cons more power than they have.
