It was but doesn't IBT cards (or whatever they are called in CA) cover certain fast foods and cash ?

Yes -- but EBT isn't just food stamps. A lot of times court ordered child support is issued on EBT cards, especially if the paying parent is a deadbeat who is having their wages garnished. Lots of courts aren't issuing checks anymore, and prefer the cheaper alternative of EBT cards.

Once I had a huge zit on my face. I was trying my best to cover it up, but one can only do so much. I walked into my parents' house and my brother said, "OH MY GOSH, YOU'VE GOT A HUGE ZIT ON YOUR FACE." I said, "What? ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME? I hadn't noticed!"

Last week a woman I worked on a project with who I haven't seen in a while was in the same room as I was, and for probably the third time since I've known her she said with a smirk, "I think you are getting taller." This is a woman in her late fifties, a lawyer, who sits on the board of trustees of a well-known university, but somehow can't restrain herself from making ignorant remarks. I just turned my back to her and walked away without saying anything.
I took my mom to the cancer clinic last summer for treatment. On one of those visits, I saw a woman smoking in the parking lot. It was all I could do to keep it together. I wanted to yell at her and shout, "Do you want to be like the patients in there? What do you think you're doing?"
Some people have no tact. My mom would often do that, would point to an obese person and go he is gross. I once hung out with a well known British rock band that was having a laugh at fat fans by making fun of them. I wouldn't say anything because I'd be afraid they'd sit on me but also it's not my business to tell others how to eat if they are paying for it.
