Oh I don't think he has a chance either. But thinking of the possible consequences is interesting. Also, as you stated, he has ulterior motives. It's a fascinating social experiment when you look at it from that angle.

If he's being as real as I think he is, nobody will be able to pay him off, not now, not in the future.

Trump also doesn't care who he pisses off. He's blunt. He doesn't pander. He doesn't bend. Let's not be so quick to dismiss him.
Surely you don't believe he's serious? Surely you don't believe he has any credibility?

I think most people on both sides of the aisle see that this is nothing more than a publicity stunt.

He is serious... he filed all the paperwork. Even though he is ridiculous, he's got the strongest "brand" of any of the R candidates and will poll 2nd place after Jeb.

Of course he will never get elected, but lots of fun will ensue until he drops out.

You can't run a country the way obama is either! His foreign relations are terrible. You also have to have a secured southern border, a country can't have an open border and have illegals pouring in constantly and demanding free stuff.

His pettiness and ego will do him in. He has a childish need for revenge that makes him look like a big whiny baby. He reminds me of Kanye West. They know their behavior is childish and petty, but they cannot keep their mouths shut. He will not be the GOP candidate. He is the Herman Cain of this primary season.

If you want to think like a big d*&^ick American of the 1960's when we were a true superpower, then he's the man. Today we are a declining power who must learn to work and live with others. Get a rude and grotesque big mouth like Trump in office and he'll make America a pariah state in no time. And the funny thing is that he won't care, and his core group of obnoxious big stick loud mouth breathers won't either. The rest of us, and the rest of the world, suffer.

Americans are fed up. Many feel they're being kicked around by bullies, both foreign and domestic. Trump appeals to them much more than turncoat Christie, another Bush, a phony Huckabee, a failed Romney and all the other republican "repeats" over the years. Trump is fresh. Many think he's a breath of fresh air.

I hope he goes the distance. I want to hear him debate. I also want to know how he'll get Mexico to pay for that border fence.

Regardless of what anybody feels about Trump, you have to admit that he's made the race interesting.
