It's too bad Trump couldn't be the moderator at the debates. He'd ask the tough questions and he wouldn't let the candidates sleaze their way passed answering them.

Trump has added an entire layer of interest to the upcoming debates. The GOP has no one else to offer but tired old hacks with a history of losing. America's biggest problem right now isn't terrorism. It's our own economy. We need a successful businessman, not another politician.

Go Trump!

I really liked Trump. Then he got bogged down with that Obama birther boondoggle. Where he took it too far, for too long. Now he starts with pissing off Latinos. Sooo many working in his Hotels and Casino. Then he shows the mentality of the hood.... gangs to the mafia and dictators.... I will get even with Univision? Hitting its employees is stupid. Shows his level of respect for the working-classes.

If you did not have the guts, and smarts to get rich.... you DO HAVE A LOWER VALUE, AND SHOULD BE USED. His mentality for international dealings would be..... make no lessor compromises and take no prisoners. Maybe we need more of it? But not in extreme mode.

You mean like Obama...
Yep.. he's really done good things for our country and brought us together hasn't he? Dripping sarcasm..

Trump runs business... successfully.. he certainly has the tools to look at putting this country on the right track economically ...
A non.politician would be a breath of fresh air

Sounds like a Hillary win without even trying!

If he would do just this, I am behind him. He has a way of saying things that just **** people off. If he would stick to business and run our country like this, he would work.

The left just has a way of making everything about individuals and social issues, it drowns out the important things in life. They actually believe Hillary was poor at one time.

It's the nature of our system of government, that we're condemned to vote for garbage (or, to put it more disgustingly, politicians) and we stay home more and more, because we start to realize that by voting we're supporting this system, this voting system, and this system of government.

The one simple change that would make all the difference, get people interested, and bring out the voters in unheard-of masses, would be to change the rules such that instead of voting for someone, you vote against someone.

While the Donald is polling in the top 5 or so, that obscures two problematic facts for him (assuming one thinks his campaign is serious to begin with):

1) He's the one candidate who doesn't really "split" votes with anyone else, other than maybe Carson.
2) He's pretty far out in front on the list of candidates Republicans say they would "never vote for."

For example, Bush/Christie/Rubio/Kasich or Santorum/Walker to some extent have overlap, and as any one of them falls out of the race, their shared pool of voters will shift around accordingly.

In a deep, thinly-split pool, Trump's numbers look pretty good. But it's not at all clear he'd ever pick up any significant votes if other candidates drop out.

Are you sure about that? I think that's what many of us would say we're already doing.

I fear that some of you who want the country to be "run like a business" will get your wish one day...those of us who know better will have to suffer along with you while your lot learns your lesson

Trump is in too many ways a perfect type candidate for the American presidency. The fact that he isn't apart of the typical hierarchy, self standingly powerful and 100% american is going to let him blow most competition completely out of the water. The only two likely things to take him out are either the endless gift giving rigged voting machines or him becoming sickly thin and him faltering out of the race (they poisoned him).
