What difference does that make? If he is the head of the business and the business fails, it is HIS failure. If the country goes bankrupt will it matter that HE didn't personally, but that his BUSINESS (our country) did?

The poster said his business success was a reason he should run our economy. But his "success" is based on A. being left a real estate empire from his father (leave me all that including almost 30,000 apartments in NYC and I'll be a success, too).

Then, B. he remains successful because of rich people 1% rules that allow him to run a business into failure and then just walk away from it, leaving dozens of financial casualties in his wake who are NOT rich and cannot just walk away from their debt and don't have other means of income. He used these people, told these small businesses he needs them to be 100% devoted to building his casino, they gave up their smaller jobs and customers because he demanded all their time...then he just says "oh well, that was a business mistake I guess, sorry guys can't pay you. Yes, I know you're ruined now, sorry 'bout that. Talk to you later, going to my Italian Villa in my private plane this weekend"

And he does this because people like him don't give a crap about anyone but other people like him.

It just doesn't seem like a stellar resume for running a country to me, sorry.

Keep in mind the last president we had who ran a private business into bankruptcy was George W., and he wasn't exactly a boon for the economy.

I agree our immigration legal and illegal and naturalization problems are totally fixable. The problem is political correct and the mainstream media will not allow the discourse need to make these changes possible. The media and political correct only allows support for open borders, mass immigration etc.

Can you provide a link to ANY republican presidential candidate suggesting raising the fines on employers of illegal aliens. You can't blame the media for what republicans won't say. You can't blame political correctness. There is nothing politically incorrect about fining employers who break the laws. I garuntee that if Republicans put forward a single bill that got tough on employers of illegal immigrants democrats would be terrified and forced to deal with it. You might be partisan but I am not. Both parties are to blame for this mess. Liberals and conservatives benefit from cheap illegal labor who cannot advocate for themselves. Neither side wants to change the status quote. Stop being so obsessed with talking points and stand up for something.

At my old demolition construction job in Austin. They were hiring certified asbestos removal Mexicans workers that could not speak any English at all. They made $16 a hour and worked 50 hours per week. Its mind blowing because I know there is no way any american can find a job in mexico without knowing Spanish.

He has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy four times. He has made most of his money from being an entertainer. If it wasn't for that money he would have nothing. I think it is difficult to make a case that he is a smart businessman, or for that matter even that he is smart. The only thing Trump has proven is that if you are born rich, you don't have to be smart to be successful.

Why would he not care? Trump's investments in United States is as real as soil on which Americans walk on. It's not virtual money that other rich people can ship off to another country at a press of a button.

It's all in the past. Get over it. All countries have immigration laws today including Mexico. Most Republicans don't have a problem with illegal immigration? Where are you getting this? It is the Republicans who raised hell over Obama's EO on illegal immigration and brought it to court.

It isn't just jobs that bring illegals here but benefits and birthright citizenship for their kids also. I don't know of single GOPer that doesn't want to remove all of those incentives. In fact they just introduced legislation to do all of the above. Think the Democrats will pass them? Hell no!
