I wouldn't say that Bobby Deen is lighter-skinned than Desi Arnaz was, at all. Look at these pics:

Bobby Deen-

As I said in my first post to this thread, Bobby Deen with his natural complexion can easily pass for a darker-skinned Hispanic/Latino. And I think he actually has the same amount of darkness to his skin as Desi Arnaz did.
Cuba has alot of people of mixed race and African descent. Mexicans come in different colors and ethnicities as well. A little caveat though. Edgar Martinez isn't Mexican. He's Puerto Rican. Nuyorican if you consider he was born in NYC.

Looking at a few pictures of Bobby Deen, he could possibly be darker than Desi Arnaz. He could pass for Hispanic, but in the sense that Tino Martinez(Tampa born baseball player, of Cuban and Greek descent) or Ricky Martin (he has some Corsican ancestry) are Hispanic. Hispanic is an ethnicity and one does not have to be mestizo(Spanish and Native American mix) to be Hispanic. I would say Deen was going for that "stereotypical" look when it didn't apply to Desi Arnaz.

I'm sorry for getting Edgar Martinez's ethnicity wrong. I always thought he was of Mexican descent. I swear I remember him playing on the Mexican team in the World Baseball Classic years ago.
