If a nuclear-armed aircraft is shot down, the nukes don't go off - they just go down with the aircraft. You'd think all the examples of nuclear armed aircraft going down during the Cold War - with no resulting nuclear explosions (Goldsboro ring a bell? How about Palomares? Thule?) would have clued you in to this fact.
Russia can't do squat but complain and make sure its aircraft don't violate Turkish airspace - no matter what fantasies of nuclear disaster you may harbor.
They can accidently send some cruise missiles into Turkey

Why didn't you answer about the rebels not being signatories to the Geneva Convention?

The Christian people of Europe care given the recent Muslim terrorist attacks. If you think the European population is going to put up with defending Islamic Turkey, against Christian Russia, you are delusional. The anti Muslim movement in Europe is growing every day. I'm not talking about the liberal governments, I'm talking about the average person that will no longer elect the liberal governments of Western Europe.
While the attitude of Europeans ( I am talking the Westerners first of all,) towards Russia is cautious and not all that unanimous, ( and for a good reason,) to say that "Europeans are looking forward to have "democratic Turkey" as a member of EU is more than a stretch.
But if people would have to take sides in this conflict, (I am talking Western Europeans yet again,) then after the recent attacks in Paris I can make my guess whose side they are going to take. No matter how some Poles or Bulgarians will keep on screaming that "Russia is the enemy."

Russians are considered white thou for US Census purposes thou, its a odd fact of geography Russia is in both Asia and Europe.
The U.S. census is highly unnacurate.
