Russia can't do squat but complain and make sure its aircraft don't violate Turkish airspace - no matter what fantasies of nuclear disaster you may harbor.
They can accidently send some cruise missiles into Turkey

Why didn't you answer about the rebels not being signatories to the Geneva Convention?

Backing up your claims doesn't seem to the a strongpoint.

The enemy of your enemy is your friend only works if you know who the enemy is.

It isn't Russia.

It is both ISIS and the Rebels.

Assad was a neutered little power monger but wasn't going to go after the USA. There weren't mass refugees heading to Europe until the focus was only on getting rid of Assad. Assad is a punk, but am impotent one.

So Assad goes after his own people. So do half the African countries the USA does business with.

While the attitude of Europeans ( I am talking the Westerners first of all,) towards Russia is cautious and not all that unanimous, ( and for a good reason,) to say that "Europeans are looking forward to have "democratic Turkey" as a member of EU is more than a stretch.
But if people would have to take sides in this conflict, (I am talking Western Europeans yet again,) then after the recent attacks in Paris I can make my guess whose side they are going to take. No matter how some Poles or Bulgarians will keep on screaming that "Russia is the enemy."

Very well said and you couldn't be more correct. The Arab spring was really the Arab disaster for the United States and Europe. It resulted in the animals being in charge of the zoo.

Turkey is 99.8 percent muslim.

Russia is christian (the vast majority)

ISIS is muslim.

Turkey shot down a Russian fighter after Russia bombarded 485 objectives in Syria.

Conclusion: Turkey is protecting its "people".

NATO should remove Turkey's membership.
