Also, cruiser Moscow will be stationed next to the base. It is equipped with a defense system Fort and will destroy any threat to Russian forces.
All contacts with Turkey along military cooperation were stopped as of yesterday.

I think Putin is losing control of his propaganda apparatus. Today's ridiculous Kremlin claim was "Turkey shootdown was premeditated, with help from the U.S.". Um, if that were true, doesn't that mean that Russia admits regularly violating Turkish airspace? How could the shootdown be premeditated unless Turkey knew that Russia would violate the airspace?

That's like someone regularly invading your house and you planning on shooting them. Doesn't work unless you know the person will be invading your house.

I think there's so much propaganda being generated out of the Kremlin that they are losing any semblance of logic and reality. Oh, well. Putin must be happy having every country on earth against him, as his economy collapses, and the middle class flees for the West. Gonna be a cold, harsh winter in Russia.

That's good move.
Turkey acted very stupidly.

There was no military cooperation with Turkey. Russia and Turkey aren't allies, and Russia has constantly been invading Turkish airspace, killing Turkmen in Syria, and oppressing Tartars in Crimea.

Russia has zero leverage over Turkey, and frankly would get their asses kicked if they tried something stupid again. Putin will talk tough, but won't do anything, because he can't do anything.

Sure I can, but why not just look at any news source? How are they not allies?

Why do you think Russia is killing Syrian rebels, while leaving ISIS alone? The rebels threaten Assad, while ISIS is aligned with Assad, as they have carved out separate fiefdoms, and cooperate in terms of trade, oil, electricity, etc.

Why not post a news source? You make a lot of claims and don't even prove it.

Could you also link the time when this jet was in Turkish airspace for minutes? While I love engaging in reasoned debate you have already failed on that front. Until you cite your claims your posts are meaningless on this thread.

I don't make any claims, and I have nothing to "prove."

Are you unable to access the internet? Are you in Russia and blocked from seeing Western media?

If you are honestly ignorant about Syria, and not one of the many paid Russian trolls on C-D, the NY Times is a good start. They are a very liberal paper, mind you, so actually less pro-Western than most Western media sources.

Here's a summary of Russian actions in Syria. Russian bombing has strenghtened ISIS, as Russia has focused almost exclusively on NW Syria, which has mostly secular rebel groups and no ISIS:

Here's a news article on ISIS, focusing on women in ISIS, and including info on their alliance with Assad. Basically ISIS and Assad have carved out separate fiefdoms within Syria and are cooperating with one another:

Ah, yes. Another paid Russian troll.

http://www.nytimes.com/2015/11/26/wo...ghter-jet.html

Why does every news source outside of Russia say that the jet was in Turkish airspace for at least 5 minutes, with at least 10 warnings? Are they all lying?

And I love your "logic". No one is allowed to post anything without a news link, but you are allowed to post any sort of craziness, with no verified news links. Ah, propaganda!
