Such as this has happened quite a few times. Dogs and cats who's owners died, they weren't getting fed ...so, survival wins out. Drink the toilets dry and eat what's available. It is sad. Nature is cruel. I've often wondered what happens to animals like this. Something we never hear about...

That's horrible. I feel sad for the owner that passed and the doggies. If she had a family shame in them for not checking up on her
