Seriously?? Just like with guns, all this is going to do is make criminals out of law abiding citizens.

Feds Want to Lower Legal Driving Limit to One Drink

They ALREADY lowered it from 0.10 to 0.08 about 15 years ago. At the rate they are going, pretty soon it will all citizens will be criminals.

Doesn't it all depend on how much you weigh and the amount of time that transpires while you're drinking. They say your body can process and dispose of one drink per hour. So, if you drink at that rate, you'd be OK in any event?

What on Earth is wrong with .08? Why do they feel the need to change anything? Drunks are gonna drink no matter what. All this is going to do is make more "drunks" on paper even though many people drive perfectly fine at .05, .06 or .07. Absolutely ridiculous.

Focus on texting & driving instead! Goodness gracious!

Not good. However, harshness of laws could be mitigated by the lack of their enforcement.

If it is lowered to 0.05%, only an idiot would drive after consuming only two alcohol beverages.

Lowering it to 0.05% and then claiming a person is/was 'driving drunk' at that level would be like changing laws related to getting in a fight / assault that result in someone getting charged with attempted murder just for being in a fist fight.
