Post Cops can generally use deadly force to stop a fleeing felony suspect.

You forgot to read this part of your linked article: "Under U.S. law the fleeing felon rule was limited in 1985 to non-lethal force in most cases by Tennessee v. Garner."

As I stated before In Michigan my friend did the same thing when he was robbed. Of course the case got dismissed or whatever because Michigan law says a person can stop a fleeling dangerous felon after they commit a crime by all means
