A UK doctor, who had been struck off and sacked for repeated wrongly informing the British public that vaccinations against measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) could lead to autism, was peddling his nonsense in Minnesota last year, and has also been endorsed by the current US president. Nothing but a quack. Disgraced British doctor fights against child vaccinations | Daily Mail Online
I bet these quacks didn't want to give their children the meningitis vaccine.
Whether you think these parents are “quacks†or not is totally irrelevant. Canadians do have choice in matters concerning vaccinations. There is disagreement among experts as to what illness this child had (bacterial, viral meningitis, one is vaccine preventable, one is not) as well as what factors ultimately led to his death. The Supreme Court decided very quickly to throw out the guilty conviction and allow for a new trial. If you watch the hearing, the court came to and delivered their decision within minutes. Anyone who looks at this case objectively and beyond the headlines will see that it’s far more complicated and complex then it appears at first glance and much of the information provided via headlines and mainstream news stories consist of half truths rather then facts.

And you have been told that the new trial was ordered for a procedural reason (faulty jury instruction by the judge) not because of anything to do with the evidence in this case.
It is highly probable that the child had haemophilus influenzae b, not a virus. HiB is vaccine preventable.
The clinical course was consistent with HiB. Viral meningitis is usually much milder.
"What I see, even in the parents’ highly biased presentation, is a conclusion that the child probably had haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) meningitis and pneumonia. It’s a red herring to point out that there are six strains of Hib and that the vaccine only prevents type b. It’s also a red herring to claim that, just because haemophilus influenzae bacteria can be found on people who don’t become ill, then Hib didn’t kill Ezekiel... It’s irrelevant to this case, because we have other information—a lot of other information...Take those findings and then add the detection of the bacteria from various bodily fluids or especially from the brain, and these findings converge upon a probable diagnosis of Hib meningitis."

The idea that “I’ve been told” what happened is laughable because I watched it with my own eyes and listened with my own ears. Did you watch it? Or are you just repeating, “what you’ve been told”?
The experts disagreed strongly as to what the child was suffering from. The clinical course was actually more consistent with viral meningitis as his symptoms waxed and waned and were pretty mild up until the point where they weren’t.

Perhaps you did not read Mark's response to you. Remember, he is an attorney.
"The verdict and judgment were reversed. If you take the time to read the appeals court decision what you'll find is that it was reversed for fairly technical reasons. It was reversed because the judge didn't give the jury correct instructions when it came to the law. Nothing here speaks to the merits of the case."
The blog is pro-science. If that makes it "anti- alternative health", so be it.
The medical examiner who disagreed with the person who actually did the autopsy had a conflict of interest. Perhaps you have forgotten that.

The latest fad is for religious fundamentalist parents try to treat their children's illnesses with "Essential Oils". These wackos have no idea how dangerous this could be. The MLM quacks who sell this stuff tell their customers it's safe to ingest the oils "because they're natural". The problem is that these oils are highly concentrated. They can interfere with the effectiveness of someone's drugs they're taking, for example.
