This whiny entitled pain in the neck is going to take his baseball glove and go home. They are paying him 13.5 MILLION to play a kid's game, and this miserable ingrate wants to whine and cry because they won't let him take his kid to work every day.

Talk about first world problems...
For 13.5 million this season, couldn't he just hire George Clooney to watch his kids? Also, shouldn't the kid be in school? How is he in the clubhouse while school is in session?

I agree. A child does not belong in a dugout every day. What job lets you take your children to work with you every day? He needs to go to school, be with his friends, and do child activities and not ADULT even if that is a "little boys game".
His son is 14, shouldn't he be in school? Does he have a life? Seems kind of difficult to have friendships if you're spending all your time at your dad's job.

His dad was quoted here in the Chicago Tribune as saying " The wife and I aren't real big on school, he can learn more about life here with me". And to top off this idiot , some of the Sox players wanted to boycott because of this. Just as the old saying goes " Sports doesn't build character, in reveals character."

LaRoche worked out an arrangement with the school his kids attend (which is in Kansas or Iowa I believe). He goes to school during the winter when it isn't baseball season and during the season he gets his homework from the school in advance and meets with private tutors.
I personally don't have a problem with him taking his kid with him every day (assuming the kid isn't bothering the other players as they are trying to get their work in). There aren't many things better than a day at the ball park as long as you aren't neglecting important things (like academics which doesn't appear to be the case).
This is probably a cover. The real reason is probably because he didn't want to play for that sorry franchise known as the White Sox!
