These are the same sort of parents who have a tantrum over Halloween because it probably has some element of pagan origins or used to be associated with interacting with spirits or the deceased.

You can't fix stupid when the people in question revere ignorance as a virtue.

Again, why yoga? Why not stretching cardio and team sports and murder ball!! I loved murder ball!!
Are there enough children who are quads in order to play murder ball? I doubt it. I have been on the sidelines during a couple of games and it is not for the faint of heart and I truly doubt that parents would allow their darlings to play quad rugby.

I don't know what school districts you all are living in, but every (public) school that I have sent my kids to and that I have subbed at says the pledge in the morning and puts ups trees every December.

At the rate we are going, they are just going to start banning everything that has the remote chance of offending someone.

They're ignorant. They're the reason why some still view the south like in the movie Deliverance.

Sadly, the sheer ignorance of people rarely surprises me anymore...
actually most of them have origins in the norse/germanic names (monday does not)

teusday (tiw or tyrs day)
wensday (Woden/wodans day, and Woden is old for odin)
thursday (thors day as already covered)
