Holy *** I am surprised by the responses! I figured women would be all "OMG HOW EVIL! Never change how you act because a woman is on her period! Patriarchy!!!"...wow.
I expected the "shockedandoffended" responses too. However as a female I'd only be lying to myself if I were to try to pull that off.
I'm a non-confrontational "Pollyanna" for 3 weeks out of the month but for that one other week; I can't even stand myself.
I feel ... carnivorous ... maybe even evil.
I actually think those guys found a diplomatic & drama-free way of coping with a female's biology; which is more consideration than alot of women give a man's biology.
This has no place in a professional environment. You should not be talking about someone else's period at work. Also do not ask if someone is pregnant unless THEY say something TO YOU.

i feel that is getting a little too personal...and it's weird.
Yeah I wouldn't go as far as to say he is "evil", as one poster thought all women would say... But it is weird, and almost feels like an invasion of privacy. I would be creeped out if a man other than my SO knew that sort of information. I would probably wonder what else he was keeping track of.
I just find the whole thing off-putting. If a dude loses self control due to hormones, well "shame on him!!!!" or "throw his butt in jail!!!!" If a woman loses self control due to hormones, well "it's just nature."
To that end, I've been married for 6 years and dating since I was a teenager. I'd never once say the above to my SO or any of her friends. I just enjoy pointing out double standards when they're glaringly obvious.
I once overheard my husband in a huddle with my two sons. He said, "Ok guys, it's about that time. Try to be on your best behavior with mom. None of us know how it feels - what she's going through. Just be sensitive and patient, ok?"
I didn't realize until that moment how obvious my mood swings were. After that, I worked hard to control my emotions and behavior. I never told him that I overheard that.
