I can see how this would happen. Youtube is becoming a way to earn significant income, as a few channels I follow have matured over the years with creators buying expensive cars and other "toys" due to the success of the channel. Some big money to be made if you have a subject which gets you a lot of subscribers/views.

Bound to be a few people out there who see this and think to themselves, what can I do to get myself Youtube famous and make some serious money.

On one hand, the book-that-stops-a-bullet is an old fictional trope gracing the plots of many stories and novels. As often as not, it's a Bible. Because of course it is. Anyway, that could explain where they got the idea.

On the other hand, dumb & dumber here don't strike me as members of the literati.

This is literally the 6th thread I've seen on this story. It's a popular one! I'll say what I said in 2 of the other threads... 19 year old girl with a 3 year old child and another on the way, dating a bad boy. Hormones raging and normal dumb stuff young people with raging hormones do. Charles Darwin would be proud.

This is Darwin sort of. His theory was basically the best adapted will survive. Obviously this man not very mentally adapted enough to figure out a gun can shoot through a book, therefore unfortunately, he didn't survive. Also unfortunately, his genes have already been passed down to the next generation.

Wait, so he held the book to his chest and thought the book would stop the bullet? That's even stupider than what I thought when I first heard this story. When I first heard it I thought it was he held the book with his hand, and she tried shooting the book but somehow missed and hit him. That's a lot more forgiving (though still idiotic) than what really happened!

She used a Desert Eagle .50 cal pistol!! Youtube videos for that, it is a SERIOUS weapon. I'm surprised it didn't blow her back when she pulled the trigger, although maybe it did. No words for these two idiots. I just hope their kids turn out to be producing members of society.
