3-Year-Old Missing After Left Outside For Not Drinking Milk: Cops | HuffPost

...her father should be thrown under the jail and left to rot.

Sherin’s father, Westley Mathews, allegedly told police that he ordered the three-feet-tall, 22-pound child to stand by a tree near an alley as punishment over the milk dispute. He returned to check on her 15 minutes later but found her gone. He didn’t call police until five hours later, Sgt. Kevin Perlich told Dallas-Fort Worth station KXAS-TV.

“Why was the last sighting at 3 o’clock and the parents not call us until after 8 a.m.? That’s the question we want answered as well,” Perlich told the station. “As far as why she was out there, how long she was out there, that’s the questions we have for the parents.”

Late Monday afternoon, an Amber Alert was discontinued due to a lack of leads in the case.

Really? After just 3 days? I don't think I've ever heard of an Amber Alert just outright being cancelled because of no leads.

I can't even wrap my mind around what kind of person would toss their little kid outside at 3:00 in the morning. Over milk, no less. Just unbelievable.

His story makes no sense. He/they probably killed her and disposed of the body. If so, no doubt one of them will spill soon enough.

The reason the Amber Alert has been cancelled is they are no longer looking for an abducted child, IMHO.

I'm REALLY interested in missing persons cases, and this one looks exactly like the cops know she didn't wander off or get abducted.

I will say, in the Indian Culture they can come up with some exceptionally harsh punishments for children. One Indian family I know kept a child from eating for 2 days because he shook a friend's hand, something that was "western culture" and not their culture. Another dad made his 8th grade son sleep in the yard (the weather was acceptable) for failing a test. He "wasn't welcome in the home".

This case just doesn't pass the smell test, IMHO. He did something to her, and is trying to cover it up with this cockamamey story about making her stand in someone else's yard near a tree at 3:30 a.m.

I don't believe his story. I suspect the little girl is dead.
