I'm wondering if the father did not kill the lil one and came up with this cockamamie story to cover up his crime . I sure hope not and I hope they find her but it does not look good for her .

Thank you. It's good to at least get this much information. It doesn't sound good at all, that CPS had been called for at least one previous incident, we don't know if there were more. The mom was home (we don't know if she was awake). Police weren't called until hours later. The mom is distraught. Doesn't look good at all.
I hope there will be some follow-up news about this. I hate it when heart-rending incidents get reported here, we discuss ad infinitam, then there's no follow-up news, no closure. We still don't know what happened in the lawsuit against the school that took kids to Belize, where one of the kids died. Lots of unfinished stories like that. I hope this doesn't become one of them.
I was mistaken - despite their English surname, both (adoptive) parents of this child are ethnically Indian. I do not know what their present nationality is, but both appear to have been born and raised in India prior to coming to the United States. I rather doubt that this is a factor in what appears likely to be a horrendous crime committed against their daughter.
The odd elements of the father's alibi probably do relate somehow to whatever happened: the refusal to drink milk, 3:00 a.m., punishment. But his excuse doesn't make sense and I suspect there are many missing details.
I, too, wonder where the mother was during whatever incident which led to the vanishing of a three-year old little girl with special needs and delayed speech...
