Oh brother. Can we please just let this thread die?
An ultra wealthy person had to *gasp* be around an obnoxious drunk saying offensive crap for 3 hours.
You know what that's called for many people in America? A sporting event (no sorry, not the skybox..how pedestrian) or a day at work in a bar etc.
The guy was a tool and probably has a drinking problem or severe fear of flying (I know some people like this) and over medicates. Regardless, the guy acted badly. The end.
Oh, and my relative the bartender told me most the people that they have to kick out and ban from their bar are women. So basically a-holes getting drunk come in all shapes and sizes. Welcome to the real world that you normally don't have to see when going to the game means the skybox, your driver isn't uber...it's a limo, you fly 1st class and the places you eat have cloth napkins.
My comment wasn't meant to disparage Alaskan Airlines but you would think with 100 million and a brother that made 6 million a day last year she would have access to a private jet. Even shares of NetJets are affordable to people of her net worth.
To me, sitting in coach vs. being harassed for 3 hours seems like an easy decision. I think she gambled with her decision and suffered the 3 hours.
I'm with you...she could have flown via Executive Air which many local regional airports have today. Where I live our local small airport has Lear Jets taking off all the time flying all over California etc. She made a bad decision in my humble opinion. Could have written it off under her expenses - perhaps? Geez if I had that kind of money I would not even bother flying any of the domestic airlines.
