The videos in this link were better than the first video posted. They are in color and clearer and show both slow-mo and regular speed and with arrows so that you can follow the subjects. You have to deal with a lot of cutaway to the weird hosts though. When I watched them I copied the video link to a new tab and then watched it full size, which also helped.
Thanks! This helped a lot.
In reference to what some posters have stated, it doesn't appear to me that he immediately stuck the toddler out of the window and dropped her. Prior to that, he held her up to the glass or air, for a while.
He later re-positioned holding her, so to speak, and then held her up then outside the enclosure. I'll bet what happened was she squirmed or wiggled, as children, will do and she slipped right out of his hands before he could blink an eye. What is clear that at the instance he dropped her, he let out such a terrified scream that everyone in the area immediately went over to him.
The video from the link on this thread is so grainy and far away from the person(s) that I'm wondering where are people getting all the details from. I can't see any of this action that everyone is talking about. Do you have a link for a clear video?
It's grainy, but it's clear enough to see grandpa walk over to the window and lean outside. Then he picked up the baby, and did the Michael Jackson imitation, dangling her out the window. Then she disappeared. That is all we really need to know.
Oh, I forgot, on ships we have drink cards, well maybe to check if bartenders are properly punching the cards.
That might depend on the cruise line. I did not have a drink card with carnival. If I recall they just looked you up to make sure you still had credit on your account.

well, so, it seems however the method is to dispense drinks, there would be a record of whether he had had any drinks onboard that afternoon

1000% agree. You still see exactly what happened in that video. He's guilty all the way.

Depends.
Someone could have bought a bucket of beer or other drinks and shared it with him.
You are allowed to bring a limited amount of alcohol on board on most cruise lines. A bottle or two of wine.
You can have alcohol re-delivered to your state room.
You can sneak in booze. Not allowed, but happens.
Every drink order is scanned and a receipt is signed by the passenger.
