I am pleased that this frivolous lawsuit was thrown out.
As a society we don’t need any of this.

To prevent this from happening again I would like to see the cruise line to go after these people.
Not hard enough to permanently hurt or destroy them but hard enough to sting them so others won’t go down this nonsense lawsuit path.

I was just reading the same news on CNN.

https://www.cnn.com/2021/07/15/us/ro...sed/index.html

In that article it states

Quote:
A lawyer for the family said they were surprised and saddened by the ruling and would file an appeal soon.

"This is a matter that should be decided by a jury, and we are confident and hopeful the appellate court will agree," attorney Michael Winkleman said in a statement. "We will continue to fight and raise awareness about the dangers of unintentional toddler window falls. This case was always about Chloe and shining a light on her brief but beautiful life. That goal has not changed."
Mind-boggling. Grandpa dropped her out a window she couldn’t have otherwise accessed on her own, and they want to keep fighting for Chloe and not $$$$$? Uh-huh, suuuuuure.

Yeah, I'm sure that lawyer is just pushing for this out of his sympathy for the family and the goodness of his heart.
