Been trying to keep up with what you guys are saying. Haven't seen interviews with her, have read a few stories.
Shocked there's no sketch. So he grabbed her, why didn't he rape her like he said he was going to?
She said he grabbed her by the wrist, threatened to hurt her and the dog if she didn't do what he said. She said she pretended to comply and then at some point was able to break away from him, scoop up the dog and run for her life with him chasing her.

It is this same disbelief that perpetuates the normalization of so many aspects of rape culture in our society.
Finally I'll end on the fact one reporter asked Sheryl—"What was the craziest thing you had to deal with out there?!"—because the story of wilderness survival is more sensational and harrowing than the story of sexual predation. This isn't a "psychological thriller" about an isolated incident in the woods; this is her life, it's our lives, it's other womxn's lives. It's a narrative that plays out on urban streets, rural roads, at school, from work, and in the home.

Well, now we know who told him to post that oddly-graphic sexual stuff about the so-called would-be rapist the other day, the guy who was going to have his way with her.

Unfortunately the go fund me is gone where it had the post by the son on what was said to the mother. Apparently the "guy" could see her privates were shaved, said he's never had sex with someone shaved and that he may have his way with her... So he just took her for having some company? He didn't want to have sex with her after all?

I must be pretty naive. I had to look it up and still don't really understand what it is but it doesn't sound very good,
