as it reads right now.. This is a massive overstep and would be a miscarriage of justice if he were convicted of her murder or even any responsibility in her death.
She was a big girl. He wasn't holding her hostage. She shot herself. Even if the cops shot her. It remains SHE is responsible for her own death. No one else.
No fan of the guy. Hope he sits in jail the rest of his life for what he's done. But not for what he hasn't done.
This is not justice.
I agree with this. I was pretty surprised when I saw the story pop up. It probably gets thrown out before trial. Casey White is already going to spend the rest of his life in jail. He's already in for 75 years and that does not include the upcoming trial or any years he may get for his breakout.
I don't see how he could even be responsible for her death.
It appears the same "publication rag" is also claiming White will be subpoenaed and charged with something that happened on Jan. 6th.....
Please don't ask me for links, I can't seem to find them now.

That's because they don't exist unless it's on the fringes. This above is totally made up.
Here's three more 'mainstream' news sources.. One of which I'm sure someone can find acceptable, all reporting the same thing regarding the murder charges

Oh, definitely made up as can be assured by my disclaimer of not being able to find links, along with the string of smilies following the post.
Sometimes tongue in cheek remarks are hard to differentiate in print. LOL

They must’ve found some evidence otherwise, that they haven’t released yet. They wouldn’t just accuse him a month after the fact of forensic evidence didn’t turn up something. The fact that she willfully went along with him and helped him escape has nothing to do with whether or not he killed her. If he shot her, he needs to be charged.

Alabama has a Felony Murder Rule. If a person commits a crime and someone else dies in the process they can be charged with Felony Murder. In the state of Alabama felony murder rule has been codified in Alabama Code § 13A-6-2(a)(3). It provides that when a person commits various crimes and "in the course of and in furtherance of the crime" another is killed, then the perpetrator is guilty of murder, a "Class A Felony", the punishment of which is not less than 10 years nor more than 99 years in prison, or life in prison. If any aggravating circumstances were present, the penalty is death or life imprisonment.
Many states have this criminal statute on the books. The attorney in this video explains it quite well.

But in this case, they are actually saying that they think he shot her.
