As a former employee of the 2nd incarnation of the STARCK CLUB (1996-1998), and a patron at the original (1984-1989), (yes I am showing my age here), I have been to several clubs in Dallas since then and I havent found one that had the ELEGANCE, DECADANCE, or UNIQUENESS that it had. Will Dallas ever have another nightclub that measures up to STARCKS caliber?

WOW, does that Myspace page bring back some memories. I had completely forgotten about Clove Cigarettes and how good I thought they were back in the day. The Starck Club is the reason I can't drink Gin and Tonic to this day. (Insert throwing up smiley face here)

OHMY!!!!!! Clove's - YUCK!!!! But boy do I remember those. I'd bet the one place now that would rival the first Starck Club would be The Ghost Bar. I wonder if they have co-ed bathrooms?????

It was not me

The first time there I was like the lil girl straight off the farm. Of course girls had a MUCH easier time getting in than the guys did. One of my really good guy friends and at times boyfriend went there often. He could get in to ANY club easily since he had the looks but a group of guys showing up at the door could forget it. I remember how we would disperse the guys amoungst us if we had a huge group of girls going. We would make deals w/ the guys we met in line to say when pointed to that they were with us. Remember the bouncer at The Starck? Geez, I remember all this. I can't be THAT old then Oh geez, I'm headed to the Stars game tonight and will pass right by where it used to be.

I was just down there last week, theres a club there now M5....never heard of it. They painted the 1/4 moon doors to Silver, they were Black (so 80s). The 25th anniversary of the original opening is in 2009, it opened April 1984. I hope there is some sort of reunion party.......It would be funny to see all of us upper 30s and plus in the pit dancing and Wall Dancing with the Iron Cage on the dancefloor. I remember the night the 2nd Starck closed in 1998, me and a couple of the guys that worked there got on top of the white Monolith on the dancefloor and danced. It was a blast!!!
The person I am referring to that I could tell a few stories about was Dennis Rodman (co-owner of Starck 2) and a former Cowboys player.......private messege me for more details. They are quite funny!
