Yes, that area would be a great halfway point between the two.

There's a neighborhood in Rockwall called Stone Creek that's really nice and close to your price range. Plenty of other neighborhoods in that vicinity too, just can't think of the names of them right now.

Also, you might want to consider Fate. Woodcreek is a popular neighborhood with new homes at really good prices

Thank you!! I'm so tired of everyone going on and on about that bridge. 80 is an alternate

I know a couple who just moved out to Rockwall last year. "Horrifying" was the word they used to describe traffic on the I-30 bridge.

I've only ever visited Rockwall on weekends when traffic was light and it's still at least a 30-minute drive door to door from where I am in Richardson. And that's going 5-10 mph over the speed limit just to keep up with traffic.

Are there any highways in DFW that AREN'T horrifying? My husband takes 114 to 183 to 35S to 1-30 every morning. He gripes about them all.

I've been driving across LRH Bridge since I was a kid, and the only time it was ever "horrifying" was on the old Hwy 66 bridge if it was icy. The current I30 bridge is very wide and you hardly even notice you are on a bridge! I'd much rather make that drive than one on 635!!!

I take 75 northbound in the mornings and southbound in the evenings, it's usually not bad at all. Ditto eastbound PGBT in the evenings, though westbound PGBT in the mornings has been a total freakshow lately.

I don't think they meant that the bridge itself is scary, but the volume of traffic on it.
