Last winter didn't even feel all that cold to me. I wouldn't mind having an especially cool winter to counter the crappy summer weather!

Isn't that the truth? This heat is relentless albeit we did receive a few cool mornings, but they quickly warm up to "too hot." Perhaps more triple digits next week and not a chance in months (according to the Dallas news) for any help with the drought.

I'll bet this winter will be the worst of the three.
I'm hoping for it. At least then we'll have two season, summer and winter.

Sounds like some people here might like North Dakota or Wisconsin weather better than where they live.

Give me the 100s anyday over the 50s or below.

It sounds like you might like Panama or Egypt more than where you live. It's far more frequently below 60 than above 100 here.

No, they are too cold, but I'll bet you can find a state or better yet, a different country, that has the temperatures you prefer even more than Texas since Texas does have 50s and lower, thank God. Saudia Arabia might "fit the bill" for you. It has some really beastly heat.

I like it here just fine as long as it's a 'typical' weather year with highs in the 90s and 100s and a typical [warm] winter. You two (kenshi & Canine*Castle) are the ones that want non-typical weather. Therefore, you two need to start looking elsewhere for a place that suits you better weather-wise!

This summer has been the second hottest in history. You call that normal? We typically have about as many days in the summer with highs in the 100s as days in the winter with highs in the 30s. And you're complaining about the 50s? We get that most of the winter.

I don't have a problem admitting that the Texas climate isn't one I like and I have dreamed of moving to where the summers are milder and the winters involve more snow, but don't act like you belong here any more with your desire for 90s and 100s all year.

When did I say this summer was 'normal'?

When did I say my desire was to have 90s and 100s all year?

Let's not purposely twist words! To refresh your memory this is what I just said; "I like it here just fine as long as it's a 'typical' weather year with highs in the 90s and 100s and a typical [warm] winter."

No, not yet... Let's break the old record first. Then it can cool off maybe a few degrees...but that's all.
The average high today is 86 which is more than a few degrees cooler than 100. You seem to love this unusual heat. I recall you hating it last winter which wasn't as unusual as this summer. Why should those of us who enjoyed last winter move but you not?
