That's OK, we appreciate what you have done. It's been a long, old haul and still going. I can understand being overtaken by spring!

Thanks Rothbear. The end of this insanity I hope is near. I have a few more days til I am fully able to run and face the world. Wednesday will be my Independence day as my 2 weeks after the second shot will be finished. My problem here, is that will all the incoming vacationers, I will have to still be way more diligent than if I lived closer to your area.

Are you heading up to see the grandees and your DD. We must plan a get together with all our CD friends who can make it to finally put a face with a screen name, before the summer begins.

I think we need permission from the government to do that!

We already have it! The CDC says:

Fully vaccinated people can:

-Visit with other fully vaccinated people indoors without wearing masks or physical distancing
-Visit with unvaccinated people from a single household who are at low risk for severe COVID-19 disease indoors without wearing masks or physical distancing
-Refrain from quarantine and testing following a known exposure if asymptomatic. (Updated 3/8/21)

Yes we will probably go up in another month or so. Both DD and SIL had both shots as SIL is in transportation (and has to visit bus places in NYC and NJ) and NY has different rules about who can get them when. Although I think they might still have a week to go for waiting. DGD is only 15 months so she doesn't get one. We want to wait until they are through with snow. We are well past our two weeks so good to go. Of course still doing the mask and sanitizer thing in the "real" world. If I start to think I can skip things I just look outside across the street to the house where my friend lived who suffered and died from COVID.

That's sad. I'm in my 60s and my neighbors on the left and right are older than I am. I talk to the couple on the left at least weekly. I haven't seen the ones on the right for quite a while. I've lived here for only 18 months and really don't know them at all. I wonder if they are OK but don't want to knock on their door and ask.

Oh, G, please knock on the door and just say you had not seen them and were wondering if they needed anything. I know it would mean the world to them to know someone cared, especially if you have not seen any activity around the house.

Yeah, you're right. I was assuming that the neighbors that they've known for years would do it.
