I'm really stoked that SoDel is opening up Ocean View Brewing here next spring on route 26. We will be able to walk to the brewery; it's less than two miles away. It will be modeled after Thompson Island Brewing which quickly became one of our "must go to" places last year, especially considering their happy hour discounts and the fact they have a sizeable outdoor seating space in their beer garden. The one in OV will be modeled exactly the same way. I hope they have the same fried chicken meal as Thompson Island because it's one of the best I've ever had along with the cornbread and baked beans.

In the interest of honesty, I will say that I don't like fried chicken so please take this from that perspective. I have never ordered it for that reason, but I have heard from many friend that are fried chicken lovers that they will put Royal Farms up against anyone.

I have heard that too ,it's false. My wife and I tried it, we're big fans of good fried Chicken and while Royal Farms is ok it would not be on the top of any of my Fried Chicken list's.

^^^Yep, same here....tried it, it was ok but I've had better. I'm married to a southern man who said the same, and he knows his fried chicken!

You know who else has really good fried chicken around here? The Blue Crab in Bethany. Definitely at the top of my list.

Thanks all. As I said, I am not a fried anything lover, except for maybe Mc Donalds fries. So I am only reporting what I have heard. I wonder if it has to do with being a local or not. We have a few Pizza places on Long Island that several of the transplants rave about and all our friends think it is awful. We are all locals though.
