One of my friend has gone through root canal and implanted the new teeth. But that has been done in just two visits not more than two. Also, yes root canal and the implanted teeth require proper maintenance in terms of cleaning of teeth like brushing your teeth twice a day. And if you will do all this things your teeth will last for 4 to 5 years.

That is not true.

I don't have any implants, but I have root canals, one done over 20 years ago and one done about 10 years ago, and they are just fine.

No special care required, you just care for them the same way you care for the rest of your teeth......brush, floss and get a normal dental cleaning once every 6 months.

I would want to find out what material is used for the root canal. I would tend to lean towards the extraction/implant route although it can be quite costly.

False, apparantly the infection can get into the bloodstream and travel to the heart. BOOM. Dead.
