Lol, someone just posted a study on the CO Springs forum which said CO Springs was in the bottom 10 in terms of friendliness. I don't see CO Springs and Denver as THAT different.

I would say that Denver isn't too rude, but people generally move here for activities, not social life. It seems generally people kind of stick to themselves here. I definitely wouldn't call it most friendly, but I can't complain about the way people treat me. I've had 1 person start up a conversation with me on the light rail so far while using it. To be fair, I just jive up conversations most of the time either on it because people have headphones in or are reading.

Denver is polite, except when it comes to their pets. Glad to know you're one of the attentive and responsible dog owners. The city could use more of you! And I'm sure your dog is awesome!
The uncontrolled dog is just an outward manifestation of the owner's ego. It's a reflection of a lousy, narcissistic attitude of "screw the rules, screw what everybody else things and how my actions may affect them, as long as I am happy." Unfortunately, in places like Denver where people are choosing to move here or stay here primarily because of recreational/ lifestyle factors, I think that kind of attitude often comes with it hand in hand.

Totally agree. I don't know why CO is dog heaven, but it is. I sure as heck wouldn't want to rent to a pet owner or have them barking in my neighborhood all day long, but apparently people don't mind that much.

Where at? I never found this part of Maryland that wasn't full of angry people. Baltimore City was somehow the nicest place, which I realized after moving out into AA County.

Catonsville/Elliott City/Elkridge. May have just been my neighborhood, but they were the most genuinely friendly people I have ever encountered.

I don't know where u live or what year that Forbes list came out, but I say poppycock! Years ago , maybe . Denver has its friendly people I'm sure, but the percentage of friendly to rude, ignorant, mean, disrepectful people definitely outweigh the kind and considerate. Customer service, is something you don't see much of either.
