I know I sure get tired of hearing about murders, robberies, drive-by shootings, meth lab busts at homes and motels and on and on. When my wife asks co-workers if they heard about this or that in the news, most of them say "no, don't watch the news". Same things goes with neighbors where we live.
Yeah, it's called sticking your head in the sand. I can't imagine not wanting to know what goes on in my community even if it's hard to hear.

Well, there sure isn't much that happens in our area to make news. But, there are those areas around this city that it seems like there is some type of crime that happens each and every day. Last night it was a fight/shooting outside a Strip Club where one guy was killed and another shot in the face and in critical condition.

And, there is one area of town, just northeast of us, that, from what I can remember, has only had one new report of crime since we moved here in Jan. '09. For whatever reasons, seems like no crime happens there. But, the houses/condo's and rental apartments sure aren't cheap. It is a very Upper-Class area.
