I'm trying to get my mom (who's had diabetes for about over 20 years) to go outside more, since I believe that she is depressed. But whenever I suggest that we go for a walk, she doesn't want to and would rather stay in the house. I think more sunlight would do her good.

My calcium is not 33 and I have been enjoying sitting on the porch getting some of nature's sun rays.

I've been a Diabeticc 41 yeras. I go out on our deck & lay in the sun. I have olive skin. My Mom & both Brothers always tanned easily, too, but then that was years ago.
That's the best way to get your Vit D otherwise you need to take Vit. D3.
The sun has always made me feel better when I'm out in it. Now if I could figure out a way to get rid of the high humidity.
