Here we go...

Myself and KZ153 have decided to go on a long term water fast (48 hrs minimum) together.
We will start after our last meal on Christmas and go as long as we can, up to New Year's day if possible.

This is not a competition. We have a mutual desire to end 2018 on a most positive note.
My personal goal is to end the fast with a glass of champagne on New Year's.
If we make, we make it... if we don't we don't. We'll give each other support and do the best we can.

Personally, I'm looking forward to this little journey into the unknown.
But first... Mexican and Pie!

I'm looking forward to this, too. I'm making Christmas dinner for my son and then start the fast. Initially I said 48 hours, and certainly that, but might continue if I feel well. Think, meditate, rest, talk to friends and family.

I went for 30 hours about a week ago. It wasn't hard at all since I already IF. I worked out on no food for 24 hours and it actually felt kinda euphoric. If food didn't affect my sleep so much I would fast for 48 hours because at the end my stomach would be so small it would accelerate my weight loss even more.

I won't do a dry fast I have felt pain in my kidney area doing that before.

There's a decent chance that I'll have some trouble sleeping at times during this fast.
Irrelevant, as I don't have to go to work and can sleep whenever I feel like it.

Yeah, me neither. I had a black-eyed-pea size kidney stone removed last year. I don't want to have to do that again.

Started the fast this morning; hope to go to Jan. 1st.

It would actually be seven days if I don't break the fast until that Tuesday. The Messiahs are over with and I don't start teaching until the 2nd. Edward has the run of the house but I brought the cat food in here so I don't even have to go near the kitchen. My weights are in here.

If anyone would like to join us, let us know?

I've done many 10 day water fasts, you must prepare and do alot of reading and educate yourself 1st, Dont just do a water fast, begin slowly with a 24hr water fast..

I started fasting at age 22 and I'm 58 now

Read PAUL BRAGG BOOKS

I've been doing 23 hour fasts every day for four months. OMAD 22:2, but really it's usually just about an hour of cooking/eating window in the a.m.

24 hrs is routine for me, do it three times a week and have for months.
Before the Mexican and Pie a couple of hrs ago, I only had one 600 calorie meal since dinnertime Sunday.

So, we've been working toward this for awhile.
