I eat plenty of it on my normal lo carb days.
On my fasting days I'm counting calories, so the veg all goes into a salad raw.

Just got back from the grocery store... got a big bunch of broccoli and a head of cauliflower.
Wife is making salad and I want to encourage her by getting her some good stuff to put in it.

Going to the grocery store while in the middle of a long fast? No problem.
I had to get some stuff for my post-fast celebration... prosciutto wrapped mozzerella and a shrimp ring.
Add in my part of the champagne mini bottle and the carb count is a hair over... about 30.
That's not too bad considering I just went six days @ zero.

I have a question that is sort of off topic but not really.

When I'm not eating enough I tend to bite/chew on the insides of my cheeks. Do any of you who fast for hours/days do this? How can I stop doing this?

On purpose, not by accident?

Nope.

I think sugar free gum might be a solution... gives your jaw something to do.

I eat two cups of broccoli daily. Don’t bother to add extra fat or calories to it, not worth it to me.

I don't realize I'm doing it until the insides of my cheeks are raw. I'll try gum, I usually chew that at work since when I don't eat for long periods of time my mouth is dry and I feel that my breath is sour.

Thanks!
