17 hour fast yesterday. I could have made it to 18, but that would have been the start of the event I was attending which would have prevented me from eating for another 3 hours - I wasn't sure that was a good idea. So I broke at 17 hours and had a very good day!

I also checked my weight this morning - holding steady at exactly where I want to be!

Ok... this fast is going strong. 21 hrs in and I'm not hungry at all.
Lots of water for the next few days, so stuff is gonna get flushed out.

My blood sugar before bedtime last night was 119, I just checked and it's 132.
The last time I did one of these long fasts, there was very little movement up or down. That's what I want.

A whole week of no insulin should result in me losing all of my suit-weight and maybe then some.
New record lows would be a bonus.

Well done to the both of you!

I did an 18 hour fast yesterday, and had a really good day! I got a lot of stuff done at work (phew, off my desk) and made a good plan to get more done today.

We tried Indian samosas with tamarind dipping sauce for dinner. Those were delicious! The sauce definitely had sugar in it, so I can't eat them too often. But I'm really glad to have found something yummy to add to our regular meals once in a while.

I also finished the last of the protein bars I'm not thrilled with yesterday, so back to the yummy stuff today. And my weight is holding steady!

Outstanding! How much lost?

I'm losing this suit-weight real fast.
I weighed 183.1 on the wedding day... most of the gain must've been poop and water.
Big cleansing yesterday where a whole lot of it came out the back end.
I weigh 177.0 this morning, blood sugar is 105. All good!!

I'm only 2.1 lbs above my record low now.
I may reach or even surpass what I weighed when I was 18, which was 172.

The last time I did a long fast I lost over a pound a day.
Still have cardio at the Y today and Thursday and there's no fuel except fat, so I'll burn some.

18 hour fast yesterday, and a pretty good day overall.

No fast today, woke up at 1:30 am and ate breakfast at 3 am.... (only 8 hours between meals)

As usual, cardio at the Y while fasting was no problem.
66 hrs in, 175.7 lbs, blood sugar is 100 even.

Could be a new record low tomorrow. 174.9 was the previous record.
With 3 full days to go, 172 is still within reach. I generally expect to lose a pound a day when I'm on one of these extended fasts.

It's mostly water your losing the body can only lose around 2lb a week maximum of body fat a week, you also need to incorporate resistance training to prevent muscle loss.

I've done this before and lost 7 net lbs in 6 days.
Only 30% of it was water... I actually lost 10 lbs and then immediately gained three back. The other 7 lbs stayed off.
Weights are part of my cardio class at Y. I can do more now than when I weighed 230.

If I reach 172 on Saturday, I know I'll gain some back on Saturday. I gain weight every weekend because I eat more.
The goal is to keep the gain to a minimum, then get back down and then some by the next Saturday.
That's how it went when I did it previously.

If it was mostly water loss I should've gained it all back except for a few pounds. I didn't.
There were 7 lbs permanently lost that you're not accounting for with your claim that I could only lose 2 lbs.
I gained back three, there's your water. Water loss (or gain) isn't permanent... I also constantly hydrate when I fast.

That 2 lb claim is pure conjecture. Scales do not lie... and it been checked for accuracy against my doctor's very expensive scale.
