I'm still going strong with 18:6 IF - definitely my sweet spot.

I'm actually finding the 48 hr fasts to be super easy, so I'm doing more of them.

The first 24 hrs I only have occasional pangs (lots of water).
When I wake up I'm not hungry at all, so going until dinnertime is no big deal. Then I eat the usual low carb stuff.

By the time I get to the weekend, I'm in a big caloric deficit.
Now I can go out to dinner without any concerns at all because I took care of myself during the week.

I'm right in the middle of a 48 hr fast. As usual, I am not hungry at all.

The whole fasting / eating thing is a big balancing act.
At this point, I'm just counting carbs, only eating at certain times and watching the scale.
I weighed 173.5 lbs on Saturday. I've been right around there since I made goal in early July.
I need to stay there for a long time to see if the Set Point Theory is for real.

I only do free days on weekends. I didn't do them, I'd surely lose weight. That's ok... I like my free days.
It's just like going to work. If you put in your work for 5 days, you get a couple of days off.

I'm regular at 16:8, but have thrown in a couple of 18:6 days. I give myself Saturday as my free day.

So far, I am doing pretty good being less than a month in.... I still need to work on my food intake balance though

18 hour fast yesterday.

Balance and moderation are difficult for me - I'm an addict. I've worked out some meals where I eat the same or similar foods most days, and also allow myself room for flexibility. It helps that I enjoy these meals and don't mind eating the same thing every day.

My problem is staying at the same times everyday, due to my schedule. I need to pick my fasting hours and stick to it. I've done 8 pm to 12 pm, 9 pm to 1 pm, 8:30 to 1... sheesh. I need to get it together!

The specific times don't matter. I aim for a minimum of a 16-18 hour fast every day, and don't stress for how long I might eat. On game night Fridays I might eat for a 10 hour window!

I also don't stress if I don't make a full 16 hour fast. I have brunch with the kids regularly and sometimes I'm not able to get my fast in as a result. Living my life is more important than a fasting schedule.

Wishing you luck!

Thank you! I feel that I am doing OK, but need to button up my food choices I certainly feel better, that's for sure.

Thank you for your encouragement, I really appreciate it!
