Ha! Yes, I used to do water fasts in my yoyo dieting days. It wasn't right for me.

Haha; I think the entire world is doing the keto diet at the moment. It's certainly not a secret!

I think IF is a way to help live in healthy life, more than weight loss

Weight loss is an inadvertent benefit of IF -- but a very welcome one for many!

I'm an old lady. When I was growing up in the 50s my mother prepared our meals, from scratch. There was no fast food. We ate breakfast and went to school. Ate lunch then back to school. Dinner then played til bedtime. No snacks between meals. It would ruin your appetite. We didn't eat from dinner til the next day. We were intermittent fasting, but it was just normal eating. We didn't sit in front of the tv. We played outside, running, jumping, skipping. We were exercising but didn't know it. Mom was cleaning, laundry, hanging the clothes outside, one load after the other. Ironing, everything needed to be ironed. She was exercising but didn't know it. No gym was ever needed. No exercise equipment. We just moved our bodies. No one was fat in our family. Then came tv, computers, and we all sat. Day and night. With a snack at our fingertips. Munch munch munch. Along came love handles, cellulite, double chins. We need to eat our healthy meals. One helping. No snacks. Move. Then move some more. Face it, we all know why we are fat.

True. It's not rocket science? How eating has changed in just one or two generations (not for the better)!

What you ate in those days was much more organic than today's foods. Americans always had just 3 standard meals those days and not become obese like today. The problem with today is that people snack too much and consume way too much calories each meal. In addition the foods people ate today are highly processed and contains all kind of chemicals like preservatives and antibiotics.

One of the reasons farms started using antibiotics in chicken & cows was that it makes them fat. And the reason why Americans are fat today because they ate too much meat that had antibiotics.

Look at Purdue chickens in the 60s up to 80s. They look tiny compared to chickens today that are the sizes of turkeys in those days.

I love IF. Even as a kid my mom struggled to get me to eat breakfast. I never liked it. Some days I also eat just once at lunch time. I love how I feel and I don't worry about not eating breakfast.
