There is new research indicating a daily intake of ~5 Walnuts, 7 Almonds, and 7 Hazelnuts per day provides the appropriate balance of fatty acids to help decrease belly fat...

However, this must be implemented without adding more calories/day...So, something else has to go.

If you cant exercise you can cut calories...

First and foremost cut out the junk food and the snacking.
Try to only drink water or fresh brewed sugar free tea or plain black coffee.
You must consume half your weight in oz of water a day in addition to all other beverages.
No more soda or anything of that sort... limit alcohol also it has useless calories.
If you opt to drink juice make sure its 100 percent real juice and double it down with water.

Make sure breakfast is your biggest meal preferably something healthy whole grain toast not buttery or loaded with anything, egg whites, yogurt, granola, tea etc. skip the creamer in the coffee.

Then lunch has to have lean protein and a vegetable try to avoid starches a much as possible.

Dinner is best if its vegetarian - have a salad as big as your heart desires but skip the dressing use balsamic instead.

Skip dessert unless its a special occasion.
Don't eat after dark.
If you stick to this you will slim down.

Try to get some enjoyable cardio in on the weekends if you have them off.
If not then plan an active vacation or get an exercise ball chair for your desk.
