the usual recommendation is 1 gram per kilo (2.2 lbs) of body weight.
Bodybuilders push it higher, but dieters shouldn't.

I'm eating the amount that fills me up and really am not counting anything. I have seen too like if your goal weight is 185 take in 185grams. I'm not going to count anything. And if you have to count protein on keto or anything on any diet it's ridiculous and garbage. Just eat healthy food . You should not need to count anything.

The most common one that is NOT for body builders is 1 gram per pound of body weight. I am not getting close to that. I get enough and not too much. I don't know how someone would eat on keto counting protein when they need to take in a lot of fat too complex. I think some might not count protein and still count it as keto as long as it's low enough carbs.

What is a day of keto then? It seems too complex you need fat but at the same time animal foods with fat have a lot of protein and your not supposed to eat too much protein. That's so complex .

If you are eating 6 chicken-thighs or 1.8 pounds of beef, you are getting a lot more protein than that.

Are you checking ketone-levels and blood-glucose levels?

This trend of calling a high-protein diet, keto, has so many thinking they are
actually doing a keto-diet, most are not.

Actually doing a real keto-diet takes a lot of commitment and some knowledge on
the subject. The keto-diet involves closely monitoring/restricting how much protein and
carbs you eat, in addition to eating most of your calories from fat and many times
restricting calories.

I think most people are much better-off doing a high-protein diet, it is much
more practical.

Here is an example of a real keto meal: 4 large eggs scrambled into 1/2 stick of butter.

645 calories with 96 coming from protein.

Eat something similar in macros to this meal,
for all your meals, THAT is keto.

I just avoid high carb foods like rice and bread, eat protein and veggies, and don't count anything. That works for me.

I have to admit, after decades of avoiding fat (%$&#@ Food Pyramid), butter still feels like a sin.

I'm doing the Paleo diet now, and I'm always in ketosis. My diet was more like Paleo before that in the past 4 years or so, not Keto as I said before. Anyway, it doesn't matter how it's called. I've done Paleo 11 years ago for 3.5 months and lost almost 10 Kg then.

Ya I think the majority of people online who think they are doing keto are not. They used the diet a long time ago for people with epilepsy . Ya doing a high protein diet is more practical no monitoring. I'm not counting or monitoring anything it's too much work. It seems like there would not be a lot of foods you could eat either because they have too much protein. Getting rid of carbs is a no brainier though.

No I never measured my glucose or ketone levels

Bacon feels like sin to me because of the propaganda. Butter does not. When I think or look at bacon I think heart attack.

I'm not craving cheesecake anymore now it's pizza!. I was in town and someone was carrying around a big pizza. I did not break down. For the most part my cravings are gone except for the occasional one .

Ya I think avoiding high carb foods with no counting will work for me counting will get me angry.

Carnivore pizza low carb https://youtu.be/5WoeuOyMUUU

They say it tastes like regular pizza

I read there are 25 grams of protein in one chicken thigh.
25*6 = 150grams
