My thoughts exactly! The girl is not shopping, she is just walking through the store while someone she knows is filming her.

The dog doesn't looked stressed to me. The dog is getting an obedience lesson and just looks like he is concentrating. He is trying to split his obedience between his handler and whoever it is walking behind the pair, but there is nothing about the dog that looks unhappy.

ROTFLMAO! Seriously?! You just made that comment because you were triggered by a prong. If they had a bag of cookies and a clicker, you would have said look how happy and relaxed the dog is. Yeah, the dog is probably a little stressed because he is in a busy hardware store. He is learning to handle new situations and they clearly have him hinder control. SO WHAT if he is stressed? Dogs need to learn to handle stress without losing their sh*t just like the rest of us. That stress will help make him a more solid dog. God spare us the fur mommies!

Sigh. I figured you'd jump in here with your macho attitude. No, I always advocated the use of prong collars, when appropriate, in my classes. They're much easier on the dog than a "choke" collar. But this girl is too young to understand the proper use of any collar. Why do you think it's appropriate to stress a dog out? (No reply needed -- that's a rhetorical question because I know why you feel that way.)

And I dont do clicker training at all.

“Macho attitude”? Good one! If you have to ask why dogs need to learn to deal with stress, I’m glad I’m not your student! The little girl is simply learning how to handle a dog properly, and she’s doing a great job. She isn’t training the dog and she isn’t giving corrections to the dog. The sky isn’t falling on this dog Henry Penny! I’m guessing you didn’t even notice what appears to be an e-collar - ~gasp~

Luckily this one time the dog was returned to the owners but what is wrong with people! Why leave your dog defenseless like this and I see it every single day it makes no sense. I know the human animals is stupid and lazy but I mean come on what is the reason for this?
First, I agree that there are many times when your dog is a lot better off at home than being dragged around shopping with you. I only take my dogs into a business if they are accepted and welcomed by that business. Someone who ties a dog outside a store may have felt it was better than leaving it in a hot parked car (but they'll be publicly flayed by everyone else for doing either one). I've seen people who were obviously touring someplace on foot or stuck in between homes leave a dog tied outside a store or cafe.

This is the product. Hopefully, pet owners everywhere will encourage their cities to support this. Unfortunately, NYC kicked them out! https://www.prnewswire.com/news-rele...300662132.html
