Did you not notice that this is an old thread and that the OP tragically lost the sweet dog she rescued after five days due to Parvo? Please read, think and care before you post.
As an avid Aussie fancier of 25 years and owner of seven Aussies over that span, I will take this opportunity to educate you. There are lines that make great pets and lines (strictly working lines) that don't. There is a huge division in the breed and no way do all Aussies belong on a farm.
Aussies from working lines...we've had them and live in a subdivision...do very well in active homes with savvy owners who make sure their dogs are both mentally and physically stimulated on a daily basis. They are a disaster in homes where folks are looking for a pretty couch potato dog.
