I had the same problem with our english bull terrier when we started fostering him one year ago when he was a year old. For the jumping, I would turn away and ignore him. Literally. Physically turn your back away and ignore him until he settled down. The biting was much harder to stop. For that I would clamp my hand down on his nose and tell him no. Every time he bit. Once in a while I had to give him a quick smack under his jaw and say no. It was only to clap his jaw shut to give him the message that biting is not acceptable. Consistency is necessary.
