Four men involved in dogfighting sent to prison - STLtoday.com (http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/news/stories.nsf/laworder/story/87C48CA288FF5FF48625768700140A68?OpenDocument - broken link)

The news just broke on TV this AM

Faith the pit bull that had survived the horrible pit bull fighting ring...
Even though her lips had been ripped off of her... has died of cardiac arrest.
This sweet baby... that only knew of a fighting ring caused by these @#$%^&* @#$%^& her whole intire life.
At least she knew what true love was her last 4 months.

I'm not the type of person that wishes bad things on people... but all of these so called human beings that were involved in this breeding/fighting ring all we can hope for is they burn in hell, but not soon enough for me.

I'm sorry I can't find the original story that broke.
I can't see to type anymore cause of the tears.

So sad. And Vick's football team just gave him an award!!

In the end Faith was safe and knew love.

This is soooo sad. I am happy that Faith did at least get 4 months of a good home. She endured so much at the hands of those rotten, inhuman b******s. I also don't like to wish bad on anyone but anyone who is so cruel and heartless in any way to another human being or a helpless animal needs to burn in hell! I always believe "what goes around, comes around" which can't be too soon for people like that. Rest in peace Faith. At least now she is healthy and roaming the fields with others who crossed the Rainbow Bridge. I just wish she could have lived longer to enjoy the kindness and love of those who adopted her.

Sillypups, this is really a sad story. That poor, poor dog suffered so much in her life.

More needs to be done to stop dogfighting in this country.

Michael Vick only got a slap on the hand for what he did to his dogs....

I'm not sentimental and I think forgiveness is way overrated.
I'm also somewhat eased by knowing this dog had love and care in her final months.
And I hope Vick's tiny little... vick... falls off.

Only 18 months.........that will give them plenty of time to make new contacts for dog fighting when they get out and they get to live and get buff and watch tv on our nickel.....sigh.

They need to put them in animal control [supervised] and clean up dog mess for 10 years.

That is so sad and unfair. And I could NOT believe it when ESPN announced that Michael Vick's team gave him an award. The NFL's moral standards have sunk to a new low, IMO. And I'm not sure they were that high to begin with.
