Maybe, just maybe we are going to get an end to this. Tsipras, Merkel, Hollande and Tusk have finished a private meeting and supposedly Tusk is going to present a compromise. I think they would all like to call it a day.

It is dawn over there and still no agreement. The 50 billion of govt assets for sale is just too much for Greece to take. It looks like the Germans have won as was probably inevitable. Time for some very tired people to call it quits.

That is a win for the EU, and their other deadbeats are far more likely to avoid Greece's fate now.

Several generations down the road, Greece could come back if they begin practicing a reasonable level of fiscal discipline.
