OP, why aren't you doing your own research? Why are you asking us to spoon-feed information to you? For one thing, you need to define "Western", because the ed system in the US (and perhaps Canada) is different from the approach in Western Europe, in terms of how the curriculum is set up. If you don't know what I mean, research it.
And btw, what aspect of education are you talking about? Gradeschool? K-12? Higher ed only? The whole shebang, incl. higher ed?
