UTEP just needs to stop using the crappy 3-3-5 defense. It obviously hasnt worked in the 6 years they have been using it. The only reason why the defense wasnt a factor in the 1st 2 years Mike Price was coach was because the offense usually made up for the defense's shortcomings, but giving up 40 points a game? terrible!!!

Default Buff

You only have to look at one of our opponents, Univ of Buffalo to know ther are good young coaches looking for that big break opportunity. I'm not necessarily advocating launching Price, but there are coaches out there. If they go to Buffalo, they can come to El Paso.

UTEP needs to hire an assistant from a good program and let them build the program the right way. Hiring a re-tread, isn't the way to go.

I guess we will see how it plays out as the season progresses. UTEP just needs to learn how to catch the ball
On that note, Briles' honeymoon in Waco seems to be over...and they want Sumlin. Not sure he'd take the demotion to Waco, though.

Good Miner win. UH deserved to get spanked for sleepwalking after getting that early lead, but getting woodshedded by Memphis? Whew...

Baylor is a one trick pony for the moment...w/o Griffin at the helm, this team is lost...and I'm not sure our defense even knows that we have played a game since the griffin got hurt.

Looking forward to UTEP/Tulsa this Wednesday!

What a game and what a comeback! When it was 24-13 Tulsa in the 4th, the crowd was out of it, the UTEP players looked dejected, and alot of people left during that period. However the Miners got a spark and fought their way back to an unbelievable win! Now I hope this team wont have a let up like did they did in Memphis. They have another 10 days to prepare for the UAB game which they should win. Should!

Shame on those who could have gone to the game but didn't. Double shame on those who went to the game but left before the big comeback. Go Miners Go. I'll see you guys at the Sun Bowl at 1:00 pm next Saturday.
