But give the Republicans credit, in finding a candidate, that is even more objectionable that Brown to California voters?
Looking around at some of the other Republican candidates nationwide though, it's pretty clear that Meg Whitman, is one of the GOPs more intelligent candidates.

Steve
I, for one, am loving Meg Whitman's $165 million meltdown

With the nanny abuse, the not voting for anything 28 years and her history of laying people off from that scam known as eBay...she could have just stuffed $165 million into her fireplace and lit a match because no one is going to vote her into office.

Brown is a kook and only people who wern't around last time he was Gov. would think he was a good choice. But the republicans can't pull a good candidate FOR ANYTHING out of their butt's if they tried. And yet....I'd rather live in CA than anywhere else. Since it's bad all over at least I get the pretty state to compensate for it. I'm not going anywhere and my life is pretty good and that's what really bothers the CA haters. Weird.

Leave the state and go WHERE? Yeah...that's what I thought.

LOL, after November 2nd she will still have $1 billion and she may very well be governor.

Why don't the Republican posters tell us about the fiscal shape of their states? It is so much easier to criticize California, a state head and shoulder more interesting and dynamic than any other state, most of which are boring ugly places where idiot Bible-belt bigots embarrass to no end those who have half a brain. Nobody is leaving California for the green pastures of hick land!

Yes NJ is quite the backwater.

There is no state in the country in as dire fiscal straights as California.

LOL, California is a very desirable place to live.......

A state in the rearview mirror - Los Angeles Times

"For the fourth year in a row, more residents left the Golden State than moved here from other states, according to a report released Wednesday by the California Department of Finance."

Really? Texas has a state deficit of $18 billion; California's deficit is $10 billion. One is Republican the other Democratic. California is the largest state; bigger than over half the other U.S. states combined. Without California the United States would be a boring and somewhat mundane nation. We know the jealousy over California and how those haters delight in any hardship for the Golden State. Some have even expressed the hope that a major earthquake will kill off half the population. Great Americans, huh?

LOL, Texas' debt is $34 billion, California's is $84 billion. No sane person would ever compare the economic health of the two states.

Wow, people who say means things about California are un-American? What do you call people who make ignorant statements about the bible belt?
